Jeanne Harper

Jeanne C. Harper, age 67, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, May 25, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. She was born April 2, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to Victor A. and Elizabeth L. (Goutermout) Schwieterman. On June 30, 1987, she married Thomas Harper. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2012. Jeanne worked as a medical assistant in the SICU at MCO, before retiring on September 13, 2003.

Jeanne was a member of the Swanton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and life member of the St. Francis Guild. She loved making crafts; tending to her garden, and was an avid pet lover. Jeanne will be remembered for her sense of humor and quick wit.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Judy (Rob) Foltz, Ed Quaintance, Teresa Stewart, James (Elizabeth) Milton; and Jason Harper; special daughter, Theresa (Alec) Schaller; grandchildren, Nichole (Maggie) Foltz, Josh and Aaron Quaintance, Justin Bolton and Dylan Stewart, and Anthony Milton.

Besides her husband, Thomas, Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, David Schwieterman.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, May 28th from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Promedica Ebeid Hospice.
