Jean Baus

Jean Esther Baus, age 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Toledo, Ohio. She was born September 17, 1925 in Wauseon, Ohio to Wade H. Woodward and Blanche M. (Schwanger) Woodward. She graduated from Wauseon High School in 1944 and married Robert W. Baus in 1946.

Jean enjoyed bowling, ballroom dancing, and camping. She worked as a secretary for Smith-Douglass Fertilizer until she retired and moved to Lakeland, Florida, where she and her husband lived for 25 years.

Preceding Jean in death were her parents; husband, Robert; sister, Helen; and daughter, Joy.

Surviving are her children, David (Deb) Baus and Sue (Gary) Forrest; ten grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

There will be no services. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio and ask that memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Research (www.alz.org) or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
