Gleckler, Jayson Paul age 85 peacefully passed May 13th, 2024, at his home in Toledo Ohio. Jayson was born September 23, 1938 in Metamora Ohio to Merlin and Maragret (Stough). He was a graduate of Metamora High School, Class of 1956.
In 1961, Jayson joined the United States Army. After serving he went on to marry Rosemary Eisel on April 4th 1964 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Richfield ctr. Ohio. Still wanting to serve his community Jason became a volunteer fireman for the Metamora fire department. He also was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church (Holy Trinity Swanton OH).
Jayson and his two brothers, John and Lanny, founded Gleckler Bros construction company. As a family business they were able to provide jobs and construct many projects throughout the local community. Jayson retired in the early 2000's and Gleckler Bros is still a thriving family business today and will be remembered for how he treated his employees.
Jayson loved to spend his time with all the people in his life golfing, playing cards and traveling. Jayson loved to entertain guests with his passion of cooking and margaritas.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosemary; two sons Brian and Mark (Connie); Four grandchildren Austin Tyler, Madeline Marie (Connor), Katherine Mary, Colby Michael; one great granddaughter Amelia Rose and nine brothers and sisters.
Jayson is preceded in death by his parents Merlin and Margaret, along with 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 17th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, Ohio. Visitation will continue Saturday, May 18h from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am.
