Jason Litton, affectionately known as “Big Jay”, died unexpectedly, Thursday evening, August 30, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born November 1, 1978 in Sylvania, Ohio to Alvin Litton and Patricia (Livingston) Henke. On July 8, 1997 he married his beloved wife, Shanon M. Rains.
Jason was a truck driver before going on disability. He enjoyed writing Rap lyrics and singing what he wrote to his wife and kids. He also was an avid Michigan Wolverines fan.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 15 years, Shanon; daughter, Alyssa Litton; son, Jason Litton II; mother, Patricia Henke; father, Alvin Litton; step-mother, Mary Ann; siblings, Jeff (Nikki) Litton, Amy Litton (George Dye), and Alicia (Thomas) Preston; father and mother-in-law, Danny and Pam Rains; brother-in-law, Daniel (Shelley) Rains; paternal grandmother, Betty Jean Litton; ex sister-in-law, Trina Litton; 4 step-sisters; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Litton, Jr.; uncle, Phil; Mama & Papa Livingston; and grandfather, Arlan Litton
Family and friends may visit Tuesday, September 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the
Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631). Funeral
services celebrating his life will be held Wednesday, September 5th
at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Perry Teets officiating.
Interment will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery.
