Janice Rose Phillips, age 71, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning, May 29, 2011 in her home. She was born April 10, 1940 in Swanton to William and Helen (Kujawski) Faber. She married Raymond “Larry” Phillips, and he preceded her in death October 24, 1991. She worked for Hertzfeld Poultry Farm for 10 years, retiring in 2005.

In her early years, Janice attended and eventually married her late husband in St. Richard Catholic Church. She attended Brailey Union Church, enjoyed traveling, reading newspapers, and cherished her time spent with family and grandchildren.

Janice is survived by her children, Karen (Orville) Niner, James Phillips, Larry (Teresa) Phillips, Kimberly (Jack) Moore, William (Amy) Phillips; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Amber, and Seth Niner; Samuel, Lindsay, and Max Phillips; Karah, Enoch, Elijah, and Faith Moore. Sisters: Patricia Dahme and Mary Jo Faber; and brother, James (Marge) Faber. Also survived by one niece and two nephews.

Besides her husband, Raymond, Janice was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Richard and Larry Faber. Janice was also preceded in death by one nephew.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, June 2nd from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3 rd at 11:00 a.m. at Brailey Union Church, 5571 County Road 3 in Swanton, with Rev. James Nixon officiating. Interment will follow at South Swanton Cemetery
