Janet Petersen Mayers, age 84, of Delta, Ohio, died peacefully on February 10, 2009, with her husband, Richard, of 60 years by her side. Janet was born in Enfield, New Hampshire on June 9, 1924 to Alfred Theodore and Martha Viola (Pierce) Petersen. Janet was a life long member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, and volunteer at Fulton County Health Center.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Mayers; daughter, Stephanie DeLuna of Garland, Texas; her husband David and their children, Anna Elizabeth and Micah David DeLuna; daughter, Valerie Edwards of Delta, Ohio; her husband Kristofer and their children; Jessica Rae and Ethan Kristofer Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arthur Donald Sloan, and sister, Thalia Louise Drew.

There will be a private memorial service for the family and friends. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Lung Association. Janet was a loving wife and mother. She will be deeply missed.
