Janet M. Keener, age 68, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Swanton, Ohio; passed away surrounded by her loving family, Saturday morning, October 13, 2012, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born August 27, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Marvin and Mima (Day) Kethel. She was a graduate of Swanton High School and married Gregory A. Keener. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1997.
Janet worked as a secretary at Swanton Jr. High School, and retired from Hart & Associates. She enjoyed making silk flower arrangements, shopping and eating lunch out, spending time at the Columbus Zoo, and traveling on vacation with family. Most of all, Janet loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her wonderful memory are her daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Logemann, and their identical twin daughters, Madeline and Elizabeth; son, Daniel (Angela) Keener, and their children, Alexis and Brendan; sisters, Carol (Rod) Whitmire and Rosemary (Kent) Judson; brother and sister-in-law, Milton and Shirley Keener; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Greg, Janet was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy (Bernard) Crockett; and mother and father-in-law, Mildred and Burton Keener.
Family and friends may visit, Thursday, October 18th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631). Services celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19th in the funeral home, with her nephews, Pastors Chuck Whitmire and Steve Judson officiating. Interment will follow at Sharples Cemetery.
