Janet Louise Delagrange

Janet Louise Delagrange, age 63, of Wauseon, Ohio, passed away from complications while fighting cancer, Wednesday morning, March 20, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. She was born December 3, 1949 to Paul and Lillis (DeCoste) Engler in Detroit, Michigan. Janet married Sidney Delagrange on August 5, 1972, in Manchester, Michigan. She was an avid baker and made many cakes for special occasions. Janet also loved to cook, and spend time with her grandchildren. She brought life and energy to our numerous family gatherings.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 40 years, Sidney; children, Donald (Kathleen) Delagrange, Laura (Brian) Upchurch, and Karen (Eric) Diller; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Ralph (Pamela) Engler, and Richard (MaryAnn) Engler; sister-in-law, Carol Engler, and brother-in-law, Robert Nightingale.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lawrence; and sister, Lillis.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631), with Fr. Ron Schock officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
