Janet L. Browning

Janet L. Browning, age 71, of Swanton, Ohio, formerly of Tecumseh, Michigan, passed away Monday morning, May 20, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born September 1, 1941 in Helena, Ohio to Albert and Doris (Donnell) Klotz. On February 10, 1995, she married Gerald A. Browning.

Janet was known as a Jack of all Trades. She was a very talented crafter-making ceramics and floral arrangements, and sewing Halloween costumes for her grandkids. She also enjoyed shopping at hobbie flea markets, playing cards, and was an avid bowler. Janet loved traveling and spending time at her and Gerald’s winter home in Zephyrhills, Florida, and most of all, loved her time spent with family.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 18 years, Gerald; mother, Doris; stepfather, Gary Mathna; daughters, Cindy (Richard) Bowers and Debra (Dean) Franchi; stepchildren, Connie (Lester) Wittes and Brian (Deborah) Browning; grandchildren, Britainy, McKenzie, Kristina, Orienda, Anoria, Lorenzo, and Tara; great-grandchildren, Marissa and Brendan; step grandchildren, Tom (Debbie) Belcher, Rachel (Steve) Jarvie, Helene (Jeremy) Korzeniewski; and step great grandchildren, Allison and Olivia; as well as her brother, Butch (Brenda) Klotz; and sisters, Joyce Hall and Jenni Lee (Henry) Chapman.

Janet was preceded in death by her father, Albert Klotz.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, May 23rd from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631), where funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Zender officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at East Swanton Cemetery.
