James L. Robinette, age 71, of Lyons, Ohio, passed away Wednesday morning, April 28, 2010, after a long illness.
He was born September 15, 1938 in Wise County, Virginia to James Millard and Juanita (Kennedy) Robinette. He was a United States Army Vietnam veteran, where he served for seven years.
Jim was a loving husband of 43 years to Hattie (Stevens) Robinette, and a devoted father to Anita (Scott) Ketring and Gina (Jon) Bissonnette of Lyons, Ohio. He is also survived by the Light of his Life, his two grandchildren, Emily Grace Bissonnette and Xaviar Isaiah Robinette, and two step-granddaughters, Kelli and Keri Ketring; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Albert Kennedy Robinette.
Friends and family may visit Friday, April 30th from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, Ohio, where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Aden Porter officiating. Interment, with military honors conducted by the Fulton County Burial Squad, will follow at Lyons Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lyons-Royalton Twp. Fire Department.
