James Richard Pant, age 50 of Holly, Michigan, passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack, Tuesday morning, December 3, 2024, at McLaren Hospital - Oakland in Pontiac, Michigan. He was a beloved son, father, and a cherished friend, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him.
James was born December 15, 1973 in Toledo, Ohio to James Robert, Jr. and Kathleen (Beck) Pant. He was a dedicated professional who worked in IT Governance for Flagstar Bank. His career was characterized by his commitment to excellence and a keen understanding of technology and business strategies. He was a proud 1992 graduate of Swanton High School, furthering his education with an Associates degree in Civil Engineering from Owens Community College, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Business.
In his personal life, James had a wide array of interests that encompassed photography, sewing and playing the guitar, all of which showcased his creative spirit. He was known for being very active and had a passion for working out, reflecting his dedication to health and wellness.
James is survived by his mother, Kathleen Pant, and his father, James Robert Pant, Jr. He is also survived by his son, David Pant, who was a source of great pride for him. Additionally, he is mourned by his paternal grandfather, James Robert Pant, Sr., his partner, Amy Taylor, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
James was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Nina Pant, and his maternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 8th from 3 to 5 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home - 204 Chestnut Street in Swanton (419.826.2631).
