James D. Harrison "Indian"

James D. Harrison "Indian", age 61, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday morning, May 3, 2016. He was born December 17, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio, to Donald and Lula Mae (Elkins) Harrison.

Jim was an avid truck driver for the past 40 years, working for several trucking companies in Northwest Ohio. He was also a great mechanic and especially enjoyed rebuilding cars and riding his Harley. Most of all, Jim loved spending time with his family.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, JoAnne (McCabe) Harrison, whom he married on July 16, 2005; his parents; Donald and Lula Mae Harrison; sons, David Harrison, James (Angie) Harrison, Michael Hill, Brock Hill, Robert (Amanda) Malone and Dan Malone; daughters, Shelly (Chris) Franz; Sandi Terwilliger and Kaylea (Jamie) Scott; 22 grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Warren, Nancy (Sam) Gordon, and Patty (John) Stall; brother, Michael (Ruth) Harrison; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, May 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631), where a memorial service celebrating Jim's life will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions many be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to a charity of the donor's choice.
