James "Ed" Cawthorne, Jr.

James "Ed" Cawthorne Jr, age 75, passed away Wednesday evening, October 18, 2023 at Swanton Valley Center. He was born December 13,1947, in Nashville, Tennessee to James E. and Irene (Smith) Cawthorne. After graduating from Two Rivers High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. James married the love of his life, Barbara Simmons on April 2, 1993.

James worked as an electrical contractor most of his life in the Nashville area. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his cabin in the woods.

James is survived by his step-daughters, Michelle (Ted) Wing and Melissa Worley; grandchildren, Brennen (Kaitlyn) Worley, Holly (Alexei) Groff, Blake (Summer) Wing and Bryce Wing; sister-in-law, Doris Cawthorne.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. (Simmons) Cawthorne and brother, Lynn Cawthorne.

Services for James will be private.
