Ila Mae Kreuz

Ila Mae Kreuz, age 79, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Wednesday morning, December 17, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born May 14, 1935 in Swanton, Ohio to Francis and Bernetta (Lumbrezer) Noe. Ila was a 1953 graduate of Swanton High School. On June 11, 1955, she married her beloved husband, Paul Kreuz.

Ila was a member of St. Richard Catholic Parish and its Altar-Rosary Society. She was also a 50-year member of the Catholic Knights of Ohio, longtime member of the Ladies of Columbia, and the Delphian Society. Ila and Paul greatly enjoyed traveling across the United States in their motor home and wintering in Florida.

Ila is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Paul; daughter, Rebecca (Joe) Reilly; sons, Dan (Szeren) Kreuz and Roger Kreuz; grandchildren, Stephen and Kelly Kreuz; and brother, James (Elizabeth) Noe.

Ila was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Bernetta Noe.

Family and friends may visit Monday, December 22nd from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.. Visitation will continue Tuesday, December 23rd from 9:00 am. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Mark Davis presiding and Deacon Jerry Ziemkiewicz assisting. Interment will follow at a later date in St. Richard’s Memorial Gardens.
