Hazel Elizabeth Noe, age 96, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Wednesday morning, September 8, 2010, at Swanton Health Care & Retirement Center, with her two daughters at her side. She was born April 10, 1914 in Delta, Ohio to Willard and Cora (Hines) Barden. On September 18, 1933, she married Durbin Noe, who preceded her in death in 1965. Hazel was a homemaker, and later in life, worked part-time at J & J Pharmacy.

She was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Swanton, and the Order of Pythian Sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Joanne (Myron) Smitley, of Erie, MI and Janice Johnson of The Villages, FL; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Durbin, Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joyce Keogh-Garza; and son-in-law, Jim Johnson.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, September 11th from 10 am to 12 (noon) at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where services will begin at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Interment will follow at South Swanton Cemetery.
