Gladys A. Hinkle, formerly of Lyons, Ohio, passed from this life

Thursday afternoon, October 6, 2011, at Magnum Health Center, Adrian, Michigan, at the age of 83 years. She was born December 9, 1927 to Irvin

and Lillian Hambrook in Ogden Township, Michigan. She

graduated from Lyons High School in May of 1945 and married

Lloyd E. Hinkle on December 14, 1945.

For 27 years, Gladys and Lloyd enjoyed spending the winter months at their Tavares, Florida home. Gladys will be remembered as a wonderful cook and great housekeeper. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and is survived by her husband, Lloyd; children, Sandy (Terry) Stites of Wauseon, Linda Leahy of Metamora, and Gary (Melanie) of Lyons; 6 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jeremy Leahy; and siblings, Irma, Earl, Edrie Rogers, Mabel Brodbeck, Velma Keith, and Leland and Vivian Martin.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 10th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St., Metamora, Ohio. Visitation will continue Tuesday, October 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lyons Christian Church, 138 E. Morenci St., Lyons, Ohio, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Bomeli officiating. Interment will follow at Lyons Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Lyons Christian Church or Magnum Activities Department.
