Gary Lee Fritch, age 54, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, February 26, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born June 15, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, to Walter, Jr. and Charlene (Spealman) Fritch.
Gary was a very loving husband, son, father, and Papa. He was a great provider for his family and was a jack of all trades. His grandson, Cayden, was the joy of his life.
Gary was an avid Detroit Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Green Bay Packers fan - never missing a game!
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Jo; daughters, Mandy and Chelsey (Jon Taylor); grandson, Cayden; mother, Charlene Fritch; sisters, Vickie (Tim) Finch and Terri Canale; brother, Greg Fritch; 7 nieces and 7 nephews; mother-in-law, Jean Okoroski; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and little buddy, Bella.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Walter Fritch, Jr.; and daughter, Megan Fritch.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 1st from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Prayers will begin in the Funeral Home Saturday, March 2nd at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, with Father Douglas Garand presiding and Deacon Jerry Ziemkiewicz assisting. Interment will follow at St. Richard Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
