Gale Patrick “Tony” Ries, age 60, of Toledo, Ohio, died, Monday, July 15, 2013. He was born July 17, 1952 in Metamora, Ohio to Edgar and Susie (Barba) Ries. Tony worked for Hale Performance Coating. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and also loved to sing in the band he founded, Tony and The T Birds.

He is survived by his loving children, Robert Ries, Jessica Ries, Cody Ries, and Brett (Amanda) Ries; Grandchildren, Amber, Bobby and Emma; brother, Bob (Ardy) Ries; sisters, Marie (Wayne) Metz, Debbie (Jim) Orth, and Terri (Mike) Howell; and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joanne Little; brothers, Gene and Edgar Jr. Ries.

Family and friends may visit Friday, July 19th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora (419.644.3601). Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 20th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor John Horning officiating. Interment will follow at Amboy Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
