Gale Thomas Betz

Gale Thomas Betz, age 45, of Sand Creek, Michigan, a loving husband,

father, grandfather and brother, passed away in his home, Saturday,

March 10, 2012. He was born April 8, 1966 in Adrian, Michigan to

Wendell T. and Cora Belle (Iffland) Betz. He married his loving wife,

Beverly Tackett, on December 20, 2007.

Gale was a tool and die maker for Demark. No matter what time of the

year, he had a passion for fireworks. He enjoyed watching movies and

entertaining family and friends with good food and drink.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife, Bev; daughter, Nicole

(Thomas) Brogan; son, David (Kristina) Hite; and 6 grandchildren - with

another on the way. Also surviving are his siblings, Melvin (Diana)

Betz, Diane Darm, and Ted Betz; as well as several nieces and nephews;

and great-nieces and nephews.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Cora Belle;

brothers, Gary and Mark; sister-in-law, Judy Frederick; and

brother-in-law, Melvin Darm.

Family and friends may visit Friday, March 16th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the

Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora (419.644.3601).

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the

Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry Speiss officiating. Interment will follow

at Riga Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family or a charity of the donor’s choice.
