Frank Eugene Szabo

Frank Eugene Szabo, age 89, of Swanton, Ohio, entered through the Gates of Heaven, Saturday morning, August 18, 2012, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 19, 1922 in Swanton, Ohio to Stephen, Sr. and Rose (Patyi) Szabo. Frank married Mary Ann Marvin on June 11, 1949. He was a lifelong farmer and member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Assumption.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Ann; children, Mike (Lois) Szabo, Barb VanEtten, Terry (Jeri) Szabo, Alan (Sue) Szabo, Ray (Julie) Szabo, Kathy (Mark) Knapp, Jeanette (Geoff) Yevtich and Lori (Joe) Siekierda; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Leo (Jean) Szabo; and sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Szabo.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charlie and Stephen; and sisters, Leona and Mary.

Family and friends may visit Friday, August 24, 2012, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a prayer service will be held at

7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, August 25th from 9:30 a.m. to

10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption, where a Mass of

Resurrection will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Ron Schock officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
