Frank K. Loeffler, age 78, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 29, 2011, while doing what he loved, harvesting corn. He was born March 1, 1933, to Arnold and Cecelia (Myers) Loeffler. He married Lillian Vandenbusche on February 11, 1956.
Frank was a lifelong farmer. Every morning he enjoyed socializing with his many friends at the roundtable at Keeler's Korner in Berkey. He enjoyed gardening and spending the winter months with Lillian at their home in North Fort Meyers, Florida.
Frank was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish and a former long-term Richfield Township Trustee, serving during the construction of the new fire hall. When Frank talked, people listened - and they respected what he had to say.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lillian; children, Stephen (Denise) Loeffler, Karen Winn , Vicky Loeffler, and Cindy (Doug) Grant; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and sister, Eileen Hudik.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Angeline Barba; and brother, Maynard Loeffler.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday, November 2nd from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Thursday, November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Building Fund.
