Frances Margaret Jacops

Frances Margaret Jacops, age 88, of Metamora, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Friday morning, March 1, 2013, at The University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born January 31, 1925 in Gary, Indiana to Arthur and Tillie (Esch) Elbert. She married Marvin Jacops, and he preceded her in death on January 29, 1990.

Frances was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.

Frances is survived by her children, Marilyn (Dan) Ritter, Thomas (Karen) Jacops, Richard (Ruth Ann) Jacops, and Susan Thom; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister, Rosemary Cook.

Besides her husband, Marvin, Frances was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arthur, Jr. and James Elbert; and sister, Lois Hoop.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, March 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption, where visitation will be one half hour prior to the Mass. Fr. Ron Schock will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elyria, Ohio.

Frances’ family wishes to thank the nurses at University of Toledo Medical Center’s 3rd floor stepdown unit for their excellent care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek, long term care facility, 2001 Perrysburg-Holland Rd., Holland, OH 43528. Donations will be used for the care of those who are suffering from dementia. The love and attention shown to Frances for the last two years by the wonderful staff at Lutheran Village is gratefully appreciated by her family.
