Flossie M. Mossing, age 90, of Metamora, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Wednesday afternoon, July 7, 2010, surrounded by her loving family, at Swanton Health Care Center. She was born May 28, 1920 in Ogden Center, Michigan to Carl and Maida (Davis) Barth. On May 20, 1941, she married Harold Mossing. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1982. Flossie worked at Swanton Super Valu for 13 years, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary Ann Wymer, Joseph (Janice) Mossing, Robert (Nancy) Mossing, Judy (Lyle) Hite, Patricia Mossing, Joanie (Darryl) Elton, John (Jeanne) Mossing, Becky (Ronald) Ehrsam, Bernadette (Ken) Mierzwinski, Michael (Tracy) Mossing; sister, Lola (Chet) Zaremba; brothers, Harvey (Delores) Barth, Harold (Delores) Barth and Richard (Phyllis) Barth; 52 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Flossie was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Mark Mossing.

Friends and family may visit Friday, July 9th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, July10th at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Assumption, where visitation will be one half hour prior to the Mass. Fr. Ron Schock will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
