Florent DeBacker, loving husband of Jean DeBacker passed away on December 10, 2013 at the age of 92. He was born in Welle, Belgium, coming to America at the age of 3. He was the son of Albert and Celestine DeBacker. He was proud of becoming an American citizen while serving in the Army in World War II. While in England, he met and married his wife Jean in 1944. They have been married just ten days shy of 69 years.

Florent spent much of his early life farming in Fulton County. Later he went to work at American Chain and Cable Company in Adrian.

Florent leaves a daughter, Abrigail (Roger) Beavers and a son, Roger (Lois) DeBacker. He has four grandchildren, Eric (Dee) Beavers, Brent DeBacker, Brian (Kristi) DeBacker, and Bridget (Mark) Raab. He also has 7 great-grandchildren.

There will be no public visitation. Private graveside service only. Please do not send flowers. Donations may be made to the Lyons VFW Post 7574, 121 W Morenci St., Lyons, OH 43533. Condolences may be made on this website or sent to Jean at 15623 County Road 8, Lyons, OH 43533.
