Evelyn M. Lash, age 90, of Bay City, Michigan, died peacefully, Wednesday afternoon, May 18, 2011, at the home of her daughter, Barbara, in Whitehouse, Ohio. She was born February 25, 1921, in Bay City, to John and Ethel (Reid) McGuire.

She worked for Prestolite for several years before her retirement. Evelyn enjoyed working with flowers and reading, but her main priority was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Wallace Lee (Patricia) Parker, Robert John (Anne) Parker, Paul Edward (Janice) Parker, Barbara Jean (Bob) Buchwald, and David (Cathy) Lash; grandchildren, Kathy (Mike) Dohrmann, Andrea (Mike) Wade, Melissa Bracken, Jennifer Parker, Brad Parker, Scott Parker, Ryan Lash, and Kurt (Shannon) Buchwald; great-grandchildren, Logan Switala, Zachary Parker, Nicholas Parker, Tara Parker, Eric and Anthony Dohrmann, and Mason and Bennett Bracken; sister, Dorothy Hunt; and sister-in-law, Lil McGuire.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugh Morgan Lash; and brother, John McGuire.

Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21st at the Penzien & Steele Funeral Home, 608 North Madison, Bay City, Michigan, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Floral Gardens Cemetery.
