Erma L. Moore

Erma L. Moore, age 86, of Lyons, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, Saturday evening, May 11, 2013. She was born June 25, 1926 in Rockford, Ohio to Andrew and Bertha (Bauer) Dietsch. She was the widow of the late Robert Huffman and Richard R. Moore.

Erma was a homemaker raising 6 children and was a member of the Lyons Christian Church. Erma enjoyed embroidering, latch hook, and looking after the neighborhood cats. She also was an avid Detroit Tigers and Red Wings Fan.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steven (Bonnie) Huffman, Richard (Debbie) Huffman, James (Carol) Huffman, Kathy (Don) Moore, and Kimberly (Frank) Volenik; 5 stepchildren and their extended families; daughter-in-law, Sherry; 16 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husbands, Robert and Richard, Erma was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dennis Huffman; brother, Warren; and sisters, Leola, Lauretta, and Norma.

Family and friends may visit Friday, May 17th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lyons Christian Church, and will continue Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Bomeli officiating. Interment will follow at Lyons Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lyons Christian Church Building Fund or Community Health Professionals of Williams and Fulton County.
