Elaine M. Millenbaugh passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Elaine was born in Cleveland, Ohio July 19, 1929 to Thomas and Estella Marie Scott. She married the love of her life Robert J, Millenbaugh Oct 6, 1946. From that union were born their 10 children, 8 sons and 2 daughters. They lived in Cleveland and briefly in Georgia but settled in Swanton, Ohio in 1957 where they raised their family. She lost her father when she was a baby, several years later her mother was remarried to Emmet Fortin and from that union were born her beloved sister Donna and a brother Emmet “Bud”.
She loved her family, friends, and to travel. She enjoyed doing puzzles, riding her bicycle, taking walks at Oak Openings and going to her Church of the Nazarene. She loved to engage anyone in conversation, was always a positive person and a jokester her entire life making everyone around her laugh and smile. Preceding her in death were her birth and step parents, brother Emmet, husband Robert, grandson Eric and her first born son Robert D Millenbaugh.
Surviving are her sister Donna Martin; children Donald (Vickie) Millenbaugh, Raymond (Sue) Millenbaugh, David (Sharon) Millenbaugh, Linda (Alan) Kubiak, James (Bonnie) Millenbaugh, John (Diane) Millenbaugh, Tom (Suzanne) Millenbaugh, Alan (Sheri) Millenbaugh, and Cathy Thomas; 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15th from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. The Funeral service will be held at the Swanton Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday, June 16th at 11:00am with burial to follow at the East Swanton Cemetery. The family would like to sincerely thank Hospice for the special care and support they provide. Memorial contributions can be made in Elaine’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
