Elaine M. LaClair, age 62, of Delta, Ohio, passed away, Monday, December 28, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 12, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Clarence and Stella (Poturalski) Utrup. Elaine married Richard Garcia, and he preceded her in death in May, 1974. She then married George LaClair; he preceded her in death on February 7, 2000. Elaine was a 1965 graduate of St. Ursula Academy. She most recently worked as a dietary aid for the Swanton Health Care & Retirement Center. Elaine was a member of St. Richard Church and the Delta Eagles Auxiliary where she was a past trustee.

Elaine is survived by her loving children, Regina (Pat) Gillingham and Daniel Garcia; grandchildren, Justin and Jasmine Gillingham; sisters, Gloria (Jim) Jefferds and Nancy Utrup; cousins, Tony Daquano, Chris (Jen) Daquano, Carla (Joe) Schubeck and Jonathan Utrup.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will begin at 12 (Noon) in the Funeral Home with Deacon Mike Sarra officiating. Interment will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Richard Church, Odyssey Hospice, or the Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio.
