Dorothy L. Leslie

Dorothy L. Leslie went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice. She was born December 20, 1921 to Lloyd and Frances (Loughman) Cates in Newark, Ohio. Dorothy graduated from Libbey High School in 1940. She married Eugene Leslie on October 24, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio, and he preceded her in death in 1975. Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker, and in her later years, taking care of her son, Donald.

She is survived by her son, Dennis (Linda) Leslie; grandson, Steve (Julie) Leslie; granddaughter, Diane (Troy) Keel; and great-grandsons, Jesse and Jamie Keel.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Leslie; son, Donald Leslie; and sisters, Betty Cates and Martha (Cates) Allore.

Family and friends may visit Monday, May 6, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut Street in Swanton (419.826.2631), where the funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) with Rev. Mary Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Windhaven Terrace and Ebeid Hospice for the loving care they provided for their mother and grandmother, Dorothy.
