Dorothy Evelyn Disbrow, age 88, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday morning, March 4, 2009 at Swanton Valley Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 18, 1921 in AI, Ohio to Philip and Dora (Beam) Dennis. On March 10, 1940, she married Francis Earl Disbrow. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2008.

Dorothy was a homemaker and member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Swanton. She enjoyed attending the social events at church and visiting with people. She also enjoyed quilting.

She is survived by her children, Carole (Jim) McConkey, Diane Collins and Dave (Teresa) Disbrow; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and brother, Richard Dennis.

Besides her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Phyllis Forrest and Jean Cooper.

Friends and family may visit Friday, March 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Barbara Jean Pope will officiate. Interment will follow at East Swanton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Swanton Rescue Unit.
