Doris Mae Berry left this world in the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 31, 2009. She was born Doris Mae Park on February 24, 1931, the eldest child of Ernest and Violet Park in Toledo, Ohio. She was married to Morris E. Berry on May 14, 1949.

The loving mother of five children, Shelly Ann Davis (Jerry), Susan Jo Fagerman (Robert) who preceded her mother in death November 2007, Deborah Lynn Parker (John), Kevin Allen Berry (Aileen), and Robert Vincent Berry (Jenny). She was the proud grandmother of twelve and great-grandmother of fourteen. She is also survived by her sister, Lucille Lewis, and brothers, Ernest A. Park (Mary) and Douglas L. Park (Margo), as well as many nieces and nephews, and dear friends she leaves behind to remember the love she gave freely.

She spent her life caring for her children and also worked for the Census Bureau for twenty-three years. With her love for horses, she spent many happy hours watching her younger three children excel in horseback riding and showmanship. Her greatest joy was to watch her beloved horse Bucky in the pasture at the rear of their home on Wilkins Road in Swanton, Ohio. After moving to Swanton in June 1967, Doris and her husband, Morris, were very active in the Swanton sports program. When her youngest children were on their way to make homes of their own, she was faced with what they call empty-nest syndrome. Shelly suggested that they both learn to quilt. The passion of quilting stayed with her for nearly twenty-six years. She loved Pavorotti and all old broadway tunes.

She will be missed, but will be remembered for the many lives she has touched in her short 78 years.
