Donna L. Woodward

Donna L. Woodward, age 90, a longtime resident of Metamora, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Tuesday afternoon, November 6, 2018, at Genoa Retirement Village.  She was born January 2, 1928 in Onsted, Michigan to Raymond and Eva (Stoddard) Wells. She was a 1946 graduate of Metamora High School, and graduated from Elkhart Business University in 1947.  She married Howard J. Woodward, who preceded her in death in 1989.

She spent her time helping with the implement business and farming.  She also had a small upholstery business and retired form Evergreen Schools, where she enjoyed cooking for the children.

Donna’s life was her family.  She will be greatly missed by her children, Cheryl Evans of Bloomville, OH, Barbara Georgia (Jerry) McNutt of Walbridge, OH, Judy (Tom) Carr of Metamora, OH and Nancy (Scott) Starcher of Perrysburg, OH; 8 grandchildren, Michelle (Dion) Myers, Nicole (Kevin) Beamer, Tonya (Kevin) Pence, Mandy (Keith) King, Rusty Carr, John Starcher, Ryan (Fatima) Starcher and Janie Starcher; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Howard, Donna was preceded in death by her brother, Richard “Dick” Wells, step-sister, Grace Krieger-Johnson; son-in-law, Jack Evans and grandson, James Georgia
 

Visitation will be held at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St., Metamora, Ohio (419.644.3601) on Sunday, November 11th from 3 to 8 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Tyler Kleeberger officiating.  Interment will follow at Amboy Township Cemetery.
