Donna Whitcomb Helminiak

Donna (Whitcomb) Helminiak, age 95, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, Monday morning, December 9, 2024. She was born November 20, 1929 in Wauseon, Ohio to Herbert and Hazel (Smith) Whitcomb. 

Donna enjoyed cooking and was well known for her baking skills, especially her pies. She loved her many Chihuahua's. Donna also spent many winters in Florida with her travel companion, Tom Mathers. One of Donna's goals was to live as long as her mother, age 95. 

Donna is survived by her children, Vicky (Bill) Hassall, Stella (Kenny) Boggs and Stanley (Marsha) Helminiak.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Richard Helminiak and Eugene Helminiak; daughter, Bernadette Barth; sisters, Catherine Brown, Iva Provo, Iola Stallhood, Helen Smith and Annabelle Mathers; brothers, Glen Whitcomb, Clarence Whitcomb and Richard Whitcomb.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 11th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December, 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Timothy Rabara officiating. Interment will follow at Winameg Cemetery.
