Donald Joseph Storehalder

Donald Joseph Storehalder, age 86, of Delta, Ohio, passed away in his home, Tuesday evening, October 22, 2013, following a long illness. He was born February 16, 1927 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Alban and Bernadine (Heinze) Storehalder. Donald served in the U.S. Army, and married Mary Jane Robinson on February 16, 1950.

Donald was a life-long farmer and machine repair specialist. He was a member of St. Caspar Catholic Parish in Wauseon and former member of Our Lady of Fatima in Lyons. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Jane; sons, Richard (Diane) Storehalder, Robert (Anita) Storehalder, and William Storehalder; daughters, Nancy (Steve) Smith and Barbara Gerken; grandchildren, Krista, Allan, Trisha, Heidi, Rebecca, Jessica, Andrea, Taylor, Ryan, Ashley, and Cody; 11 great-granchildren; and brothers, Paul (Joyce) Storehalder and Tom (Marcy) Storehalder.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roger; granddaugter, Amanda; daughter-in-law, Anna; and siblings, Dallas, Bernard, John, Rita, Shirley, and Ruth.

Family and friends may visit Friday, October 25th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora, where a Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, October 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Robert Holden presiding. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery in Lyons.
