Dennis J. Brown

Dennis J. Brown, age 62, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born September 21, 1951 in Napoleon, Ohio to Robert and Doris (Smith) Brown. On April 16, 1999 he married his beloved wife, Catherine (Smith) Brown.

Dennis worked as a security guard for Continental Security. He enjoyed fishing and traveling to auctions and gun shows. He also was a WWII buff, and last summer was able to visit the WWII Museum, which was a huge highlight in his life!

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Catherine; mother, Doris Brown; son, Matthew Brown; daughter, Stacey (Dominic) Chamberlain; stepson, Mavrick Grant; stepdaughter, Alicia Grant; 8 grandchildren; and siblings, Brad (Connie) Brown, Russell Brown, Kevin Brown, Pam McNett and Jimmy (Nancy) Brown.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Robert; sister-in-law, Diane; and brother-in-law, Dave.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, March 29th from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631), where services celebrating his life will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Timothy Coley officiating. Interment at East Swanton Cemetery will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
