David S. Scott

David Stewart Scott, age 81, of Delta, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in the emergency room at The Fulton County Health Center. David was born November 15, 1933 in Carrollton, Michigan to David and Alice (Taylor) Scott. He married his beloved wife, Loretta Brown on July 12, 1952.

David worked as a boiler operator for Toledo Scales, and retired in 1997 from BioLab in Conyers, Georgia. He and his wife, Loretta, enjoyed traveling and camping. David also enjoyed his duties working for the National Forest. He was the owner and operator of Scotties Cycle Salvage Shop in the early 1980's, on Front Street in Toledo, Ohio.

David will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Loretta; children, William (Tina Henson) Scott, Barbara (Bill) Vargo, and Michael (Valerie) Scott; grandchildren, Eva (Brian) Cooper, Jeremy (Shelly) Scott, Ronald (Mari) Vargo, Tracy (Jonathan) Buder, Bill Vargo, Kristen Scott, and Brian Scott; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Lyle B. Scott, Sr.; many nieces and nephews; and special four-legged companion, Lady Brianna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Alice Scott and siblings, Margareeta Vincent, Clinton, Ralph and Melvin.

A celebration of life gathering will be held for family and friends on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Christian Union Church Community Center in Delta, Ohio. Graveside services at Toledo Memorial Park will be private.
