Delta, Ohio

David L. Roe, age 54, of Delta, Ohio, a devoted husband and father, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening December 1, 2024. David was born on August 31, 1970, Morenci, Michigan to David Roe and Bonnie (Rinehart) Miller.

For nearly 20 years, Dave worked at Haas Door Company in Wauseon. His reputation as a jack of all trades was well-earned; he possessed an innate ability to tackle various projects and challenges with skill and determination.

Dave was a devoted family man who took great joy in caring for his wife and four daughters. He and his wife, Diane Roe, shared 37 wonderful years together. With 33 of those years married, they built a family together that encompassed love, laughter, and cherished memories. His daughters, Ashley Roe, Amber (Taylor) Cheek, Autumn (Caleb Halpin) Roe, and Kaylee Roe, were the apple of his eye, and he always encouraged them to pursue their passions and interests. He viewed both Taylor and Caleb as “the sons he never had.”

Dave had a wide array of hobbies that showcased his diverse talents. He was a passionate arrowhead hunter and collector, spending countless hours exploring and discovering fascinating artifacts. His love of classic automobiles, Dave thrived on restoring muscle cars, pouring his heart and creativity into each project. Additionally, Dave enjoyed woodworking, particularly the restoration of furniture, blending his practical skills with an artistic touch. As an avid lover of classic rock, he loved playing the guitar. He was also an animal lover, having many beloved pet dogs.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Diane, his parents David Roe and Bonnie Miller, his four daughters, sister-in-law Chris Hall, brother-in-law David Hall, and nephews James and Joshua Adkins, and Gradon Hall. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Thomas “Olie” Miller, as well as his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nancy and Kenneth Hall.

In keeping with David's wishes, he will be cremated and services for the family will be private.
