Darrell Dean "Milty" Mildenstein

Darrell Dean “Milty” Mildenstein, age 80, of Delta, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, November 17, 2013 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 15, 1933 in Battle Creek, Iowa to Henry and Maria (Redinus) Mildenstein. He was a 1951 graduate of Battle Creek High School. On June 18, 1959, he married Hiro Abe. Milty served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired as a Master Sargeant from the 180th Ohio Air National Guard.

Milty was a member of Fulton Union Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Hiro; sons, Stephen Eugene (Susan) Mildenstein, Michael Duane (Stacy) Mildenstein, Wayne Brian (Dawn) Mildenstein and Keith Christopher (Simonne) Mildenstein; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and siblings, Ethel Osborne, Gary Mildenstein and Judy Weiling.

Milty was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Fulton Union Church with Pastor Tom Bates officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Honor Guard.
