Connie Leigh Mitchey

Connie Leigh Mitchey, age 51, of Toledo, Ohio, entered through the gates of heaven, Wednesday morning, February 12, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, with her sister, Bonnie, at her bedside. She was born July 16, 1962 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert D. and Judith D. (Parks) Uyttenhove.

Prior to her illness, Connie worked as a waitress. She loved to cook and watch cooking shows. She also was a bargain shopper - looking for great deals at garage sales and thrift stores.

Connie was loved by so many people and will be greatly missed by her mother, Judith; sister, Bonnie (Nick) Ignasiak; significant other, Bill Ackers; nephews, Shane (Amy) Haas, Justin Haas; and niece, Lacey Haas.

Connie has gone to be with her father, Robert; and brothers, Ronnie and Monte Uyttenhove.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, February 18th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631), where a memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Sr. Rita Marie Schroeder officiating.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
