Clara Della Culler, age 97, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, June 7, 2008, at the Swanton Health Care & Retirement Center. She was born September 17, 1910 in Delta, Ohio to the late John Henry and Cora Bell (Feathers) Leininger. Clara was the last surviving of 12 children. She married Milton Culler on November 8, 1930. Clara and her husband were crowned King and Queen at the Fulton County Fair during the Golden Anniversary party in September of 1995. Milton preceded Clara in death on November 7, 1996.

Clara was a homemaker and member of the Swanton Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and vacationing and fishing at Houghton Lake in Michigan.

She is survived by her children, Illa Rose Sarno of Toledo, OH, Lewis (Doris) Culler of Swanton, OH, Harry J. (Georgia) Culler of Swanton, OH and Phyllis (Ray) Fitch of Swanton, OH; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Milton, and brothers and sisters, Clara was preceded in death by her sons, Richard and John Culler.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, June 10th from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor John Schlicher officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.
