Clairton "Buster" Frantz

Clairton “Buster” Frantz, age 91, of Jasper Michigan, passed away in his home, Tuesday evening, January 24, 2012. Buster was born August 31, 1920 in Palmyra, Michigan to the late Clair and Ada (Meyers) Frantz.

Buster served honorably during WWII. In his early years, he worked at Boln Aluminum. He worked at the Lenawee Road Commission as a grader operator for over thirty years, from which he retired. In 1940, he married Sara Juanita Stemen who preceded him in death in 2001. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert; daughter-in-law, Donna; and granddaughter, Brenda.

His is survived by his sons, Lowell (Sue) Frantz of West Lake, LA, Richard Frantz of Sand Creek, MI, and daughter, Marilyn (Martin) Roth of Delta, OH. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Eileen Walton and Myrna Stemen.

Family and friends may visit Friday, January 27th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora (419.644.3601). Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Lyons Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans in Wauseon, Ohio.
