Cecilia Lynn Phillips

Cecilia Lynn (Shidler) Dilbone, age 56, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Saturday morning, October 26, 2013 in her home, with her loving family at her side. She was born June 17, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to Neal D., Sr. and Dolores “Dolly” (Tressler) Dilbone. She graduated from Penta County Vocational School and married her high school sweetheart, Alan Shidler, who preceded her in death.

Cece worked as a quality auditor at DRS Industries in Holland, Ohio. She was a hard worker, with a strong work ethic and took great pride in her work. Her co-workers were like family to her, and her family deeply appreciates all the kindnesses shown to her by them and the company, especially during her illness.

Cecilia was a very selfless, loving, caring woman who was devoted to her family, had open arms for everyone and was considered a mother to all. She would do anything for anyone and was a very proud grandma to Macadoodle and Ellie!

Everyone loved Cece’s quirky sense of humor. She enjoyed country music, classic movies such as Gone With The Wind, line dancing and working brain puzzles, especially Sudoku.

She leaves behind her precious granddaughters, Mackenzie Nicole and Elliotte Layne; son, Alan Shidler, Jr.; daughters, Tammy Shidler, Tiffany Elizabeth (Justin) Ranville and Brittany Roth; mother, Dolly; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Along with her father, Neal, and her husband, Alan; she was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Dilbone, nephew, Jack Woods, Jr.; niece, Joelle Dilbone; and brother-in-law, Bruce Weigel.

Friends and family may visit Monday, October 28th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at a later date at Swanton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or American Cancer Society.
