Carolyn M. Kasten, age 70, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 1, 1939, to Leo and Florence Frosch. She attended Rogers High School and married her loving husband, Marvin P. Kasten in 1957.

Carolyn was an avid church-goer and loved praising the Lord. She attended Westgate Chapel in Toledo, Ohio, and West Chapel and First Baptist Churches of Orlando, Florida. She enjoyed spending the summer months in Ohio and the winter months in their Florida home. But most of all, she enjoyed her loving family and many friends. She loved the ocean and going to Walt Disney World.

Carolyn was a breast cancer survivor and always enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Marvin; sons, Marvin S. Kasten, David (Jan) Kasten, Steven Kasten; sister, Mary Dultmeyer; brothers, David and Chuck Frosch; grandchildren, Ashley (Troy) Westhoven, Jenna Kasten, Lauren Kasten, Taylor Kasten, Dustin Kasten, and Josh Kasten.

Friends and family may visit Friday, November 20th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21st at 1:00 p.m. at Westgate Chapel, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Pastor Larry Carey will officiate. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Westgate Chapel or the American Cancer Society.
