Carolyn Ann Holland, age 71, of Metamora, Ohio, died Tuesday morning, January 6, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 20, 1937 in Swanton, Ohio to Lester D. and Hazel (Krauss) Aumend. She married Wayne Floyd Holland, and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2003.

Carolyn was a cake decorator, worked as a nurse’s aide at the Anne Grady Center, and most recently, worked at the Wauseon Laundromat until her husband’s illness. She dedicated her time caring for her husband until his death. Carolyn was an avid wildlife watcher. She spent hours looking out her back window into the woods on her property watching the birds and deer.

She is survived by her children, Marlene (Todd) Fetterman of Auburndale, FL, Cheryll (Gary) Seigneur of Delta, OH and Terrance Holland of Metamora, OH; grandchildren, Donald (Betty) Fetterman, Dustin Fetterman and Scott Holland; great-grandchildren, Jessica Fetterman and Dalton Fetterman; as well as her sisters, June (Earl) Clair and Marian Smith, and brother-in-law, Harold (Sue) Holland.

Besides her husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Marilyn Aumend.

Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or to a wildlife fund.
