Carolyn J. Frank, age 60, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Monday evening, April 22, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born January 22, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Paul G. and Joan (Harmon) Keough. She graduated from Swanton High School, Class of ’71, and attended The University of Toledo. Carolyn married John Frank III on July 7, 1972.
Carolyn was an avid reader and her work at the Swanton Public Library was most enjoyable. She spent a lot of time sprucing up her yard and gardening. She enjoyed aerobics, yoga, and crocheting. Most of all she loved spending time with her beautiful grandchildren. Carolyn also devoted her time being a caregiver to her mother, Joan, and volunteering at the Victory Center.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, John; daughters, Andrea (Kevin) Strezinski and Amanda (Dan) Karamol; grandsons, Oskar and Brode Strezinski, and Beau and Cody Karamol; brothers, Douglas (Sherry) Keough, and Stephen (Judy) Keough; sister, Elaine (John) Purdy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Paul Keough.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 27th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeanne English officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Victory Center, Swanton Public Library, or the Progeria Research Foundation.
