Carole J. Hahn

Carole J. Hahn, age 72 , of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born February 14, 1942 in Swanton, Ohio to Everell and Elizabeth (Foust) Stukey. Carole married Robert Hahn on August 17, 1967, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2004. Carole worked as a receptionist for Drs. Butz, Cooley, and Oswald for 21 years. She also was a Tole Decorative Arts instructor.

Carole was a member of the Swanton Church of the Nazarene, where she was involved with various women's organizations. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, Greater Toledo Craftsman Guild, Toledo Craftsman Guild, Fort Wayne Craftsman Guild, and National Tole and Decorative Arts. She was also director of the Tole and Decorative Arts Department at the Fulton County Fair.

Left to cherish Carole's memory are her children, Beth and Mark Hahn; grandsons, Scott Hahn and Drake Hoover; brother, William (Marlyn) Stukey; and many nieces and nephews.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and sisters, Mary Underwood, Ruth VanTil and Dorothy Slemp.

Family and friends may visit Friday, November 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631). Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29th at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Harold Ratliff officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
