Betty Ella Leu

Betty Ella Leu, age 69, of Delta, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, December 31, 2015 at the Fulton Manor in Wauseon. She was born March 12, 1946 in Jellico, Tennessee to Earnest and Edith (Barnhill) Brooks. Betty married Richard Leu on July 3, 1964.

Betty worked over 20 years as a security guard, most recently for Pinkerton Security. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Delta and loved needlepointing and spending time with her family.

Betty was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and caretaker. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Tammy (Martin) Sharp; grandchildren, Gary Zachary and Jessica Sharp; great-grandchildren, Maddylynn, Lillian, Dominic and Daisy Sharp; sister, Lou Ann (Bob) Shelton; brothers, Jim Brooks and Jack (Sandra) Brooks; as well as many nieces and nephews, and faithful four-legged companion, Shadow.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Edith and husband, Richard.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631), where funeral services will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Eric Markovich officiating. Interment will be private.
