Barbara Ellen DeRush

Barbara Ellen DeRush, age 76, of Toledo, Ohio, died Friday December 20, 2013 in Green Springs, Ohio. She was born January 5, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to Marshall Edward and Doratha (Dull) Simpson. She married Greenville Thomas DeRush, and he preceded her in death.

Barb was a homemaker who loved watching cooking shows on television and cooking in the kitchen to duplicate what she watched. She attended Grace Family Fellowship Church and looked forward to quiet times of rest and ralaxation.

She is survived by her sisters, Bernice Maclemore, Beverly Frye and Nancy; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Paula DeRush; 1 niece; 1 nephew; and 6 great-nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Greenville, Barb was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ron Simpson.

Family and Friends may visit Thursday, December 26th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Stuart Mahan officiating. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
