Arthur H. Hameister, age 75, of Delta, Ohio, passed away late Saturday evening, June 13, 2009 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born March 1, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio, to Otto and Amanda (Sonnichsen) Hameister.

In 1951, he married Margie Ann Fillmore. Together they had four children; Suzanne Hameister (deceased), Sharon Ann (David) Shelle, Gail Sue Hartig, Patricia Sue Hameister, and Arthur, Jr. (Dolores) Hameister; grandchildren, Emily, Jennifer, Timothy, James, Arthur III, and Risa; great-grandchildren, Jerome and Audrey.

On December 27, 1982, he married Carol Ann Carpenter. Children, Henry Jr. (Kathy) Lewis and Carolyn (Wesley) McGuirk; grandchildren, Henry Lewis III, Kelly Chavaz, Janell Helwig, Vallarie Limestahl, April Landis, Wesley McGuirk II, and Devin McGuirk; great-grandchildren, Joseph Lewis, Leah Chavaz, Alyssa Rosser, TJ, Taylor, Richard, Jenna, Emily, Jackson, and Katelynn. His brother, Ralph Hameister also survives.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Suzanne, adopted son, Johnny Lee Wortham and wife, Carol Ann.

Arthur retired from Markey Bronze in Delta. He was an avid bowler and long-time member of the Delta Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Friends and family may visit Thursday, June 18th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton, where an Eagles Lodge Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
