Anne-Shirley Steusloff

Anne-Shirley Steusloff, loving and devoted wife, mother, Nana and friend, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014, at the age of 70. She was born April 22, 1944 in Auckland, New Zealand to Fred and Shirley (Roxburgh) Long. On April 14, 1984, she married her best friend and lover, Thomas Steusloff. Anne worked as an office manager for Swanton Supervalu for 18 years until its closing.

Anne was an Angel - the most amazing, loving and giving person. She devoted her life caring for her family and those around her, putting their needs before her own. People fell in love with her the minute they met her. She loved gardening and bird watching, but most of all, loved her family and being a Nana - her grandchildren and husband meant the world to her.

She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, best friend and lover of 30 years, Tom; children, Kristina, Jennifer, Linda-Marie (Bill Taylor), Jacquelyn, Teresa, Karen, and TJ (Wendy); 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Peter (Barbara) Bredenbeck; sister, Annette (Chris) Hartley; as well as several family and friends in New Zealand, and of course, her loving dog, Pepe.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to her cardiologists, Dr. Bingle and Dr. Grande, and her family doctor, Dr. Darah for caring for her well being over the past several months.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, September 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631), where services celebrating her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Ed Strietelmeier will officiate. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
